William Charles Reitz

William Charles Reitz, age 69, passed away at home on June 22, 2025. Bill was born on January 16, 1956 in Oconomowoc, WI to William and Marjorie (nee Gauerke) Reitz.

Bill dedicated 30 years of his working life at Dress Engines of Waukesha, where his skills and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Bill was a man of many passions and found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing in the serene waters of Wisconsin, metal detecting in search of hidden treasures, and boating with family and friends. Bill also had a love for poker, casinos, and travel. However, Bill's greatest passion was found in the kitchen, where he could often be found experimenting with new recipes and flavors.

Bill’s greatest joy came from being a husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; son Kyle (Samantha Troyer) Reitz; Mother Marjorie Reitz; sisters Julia (Joe Kallas) Reitz, Amy (Patrick) Kasten, Jackie (Mark) Heinecke, and Becky (Doug) Johnson; along with nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, William Reitz; and in-laws Harvey and Norma Lenius.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Fowler Park (438 N Oakwood Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, stories, and laughter. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair for comfort as we gather in remembrance.
