Obituary for Victor John Redzinski

With broken hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Victor “John” Redzinski, who departed from this life unexpectedly on June 20, 2025, at the age of 63 after suffering a heart attack.

John was born on February 12, 1962 and grew up in Oconomowoc. John, known by friends as “Ivan”, was a fixture in the Oconomowoc community, the home town that he dearly loved. He participated in many ice fishing jamborees, softball leagues, bowling tournaments at Mapleway Bowl and the annual Fat Head Golf Open. He loved a cold PBR at Wingers and longed for the days when he could get his meat at Feldschneiders.

John loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He spent time traveling, both across the state and country. He hunted in Buffalo County and fished many lakes including Lac La Belle where he caught a 43” Northern Pike through the ice, and on Big St. Germain lake with his Dad at the family lake home in St. Germain. He ventured to Hawaii where he golfed Kapalua, drove the road to hana, and attended a Badger football game. He also traveled to California to drive up the coast, see Pebble Beach and watch the Badgers in the Rose Bowl. With his loving partner Pam, in whom he found so much happiness, they enjoyed going out to dinner (especially supper clubs) and attending classic rock concerts. He also worked meticulously on their lawn in which he took great pride. John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his father, Victor Redzinski; his mother, Karen Redzinski; and his sister, Jill (Chris) Radi. He was a treasured uncle to his niece, Katrina (Matt) Sukovich, and his nephew and godson, Danny (Rose) Radi. He shared the later years of his life with his partner, Pam Schiefelbein and her children Danielle, Jeff (Heather), Kallie (Jon) and was a loving step-grandfather to Pam’s grandchildren. He is further survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. John was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Redzinski and his beloved grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 995 S. Silver Lake St., Oconomowoc.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent de Paul of Waukesha County or the American Heart Association in memory of John would be appreciated.
