Vera D Owens

Vera lived a life full of optimism and passion. She was small in stature but BIG in personality.

During the war, Vera worked at the war plant during the day. At night, along with her best friend and future sister-in-law Marcelle Haley Stafford, Vera would dance the night away with soldiers at the USO Club. In Milwaukee while raising her five children, she pursued a career in retail. She received many awards for outstanding customer service. Vera cherished every moment she shared with her children and was surrounded by them in her final days. She died peacefully on May 15th, 2025 having recently celebrated her 99th birthday.

She is survived by her children Randall (Cristy Zeidoniz) Reinhardt, Kristie (the late Dr. John) Malone, Kandee (Richard) Lee, Karen Gentile and Karla (Robert) Sponder.
