It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Todd Douglas Ballard at the age of 54. Born in Moline, Illinois, to Ernie and Diane Ballard, Todd was an avid traveler, devoted husband, dedicated sports fan and lover of all music.
Todd's early life in Illinois fostered a profound love for sports, particularly for the teams he cherished: the Cubs, the Bears, the Blackhawks, the Bulls, and even the Yankees. Todd's love for life extended beyond sports; he embraced every opportunity to travel the country. Exploring 49 states, Todd created cherished memories and visited numerous baseball stadiums along the way.
A true lover of music, Todd found joy in melodies ranging from contemporary Christian to the rhythms of 80s rock. Concerts were a special passion for him, especially when attended with his beloved wife Hollie. Todd's enthusiasm for life extended to his love of movies, where he enjoyed sharing experiences as a passholder, always seeking out the latest films to enjoy with family and friends.
Todd is survived by his wife of nearly 19 years, Hollie Ballard; his father Ernie (Sue) Ballard; Uncle Dan Ballard; Aunt Donna Moore; along with nieces and cousins.
Todd is preceded in death by his mother Diane Ballard; Grandparents Kathryn (John) Daab, and Walter (Shirley) Ballard.
The family would like to thank Oconomowoc EMS, police, and firefighters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation in Todd’s name.
Services will be held at Crosstown Baptist Church (801 3rd Street, Silvis, Illinois, 61282) on Saturday August 2, 2025. Visitation at 1pm followed by service at 2pm, luncheon to follow.
