Thomas "Tom" Lee Skasa

Thomas Skasa passed away on April 16, 2026. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Tom was the son of Emil and Marilyn, and brother to Emmy. During his childhood and adolescent years, he loved to play basketball and softball with his friends, and also loved playing music, which lasted through his adult life. He attended UW Milwaukee and then Marquette University, developing a career in IT and ultimately retiring as a technical architect.

Tom's main passions were restoring cars and woodworking, however he was a jack of all trades and developed many different interests. He made most of the household's furniture and later even began building guitars for friends, family and other musicians. He completely restored his and his wife Kathe's Oconomowoc home, and he enjoyed spending time up north in the Minocqua area remodeling the family cottage, fishing, and biking. Most recently he began an impressive wine-making hobby from the grapes he grew in his backyard.

Tom loved being part of the worship team at the churches he belonged to and especially enjoyed leading men's bible study. He used his musical gifts not only to perform but to mentor many other musicians in their own journey. For a few years he even began recording their projects. He played keyboards, guitar, bass, and mandolin.

Most of all, he loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. He was a kind, gentle soul who is missed greatly by his wife Kathe, daughter Christina, son Nick, step-son Chris, as well as his two grand-children Breanna Spinn (Mike Ford) and Jonathon Spinn. Tom also loved Brittany Spaniels, and is already dearly missed by his beloved dog Angel.

A private burial has taken place at La Belle Cemetery. Please check back at a later date for service details.
