Thomas "Tom" Allen Houston

Thomas Allen Houston, age 61, died peacefully at home with his family on March 16th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom was born on February 28, 1965, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was the oldest son of Carol and Roy Houston, and brother to Nancy and David. Tom graduated from Bradford High School in 1983. He later attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he met the love of his life, Mary, and went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside with a degree in Molecular Biology.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Mary; his four children, Maddie (Matt) Spheeris, Marlie, Sadie, and Phillip; his beloved grandson, Roman; his sister, Nancy, and brother, David; his nephews, Drake and Stuart Salerno; his in-laws, Phil and Jane Fox, who were like parents to him; his sister-in-law, Colleen Fox, whom he loved dearly; and his beloved dogs, Charlie and Ted.

Tom dedicated over 20 years of his career to Siemens Healthineers, where he built deep and meaningful relationships with colleagues who became like family.

Tom and Mary built a beautiful life together, rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support. His commitment to his children was unmatched. He made it a priority to spend meaningful time with each of them—whether it was weekend breakfasts with Maddie, Matt, and Roman; football Sundays with Sadie; attending Cubs and Brewers games with Marlie; or sharing music with Phillip. Tom was an incredibly proud father and felt immense gratitude to witness his children grow, succeed, and build lives of their own.

Tom faced a long and difficult battle with cancer, but it never diminished his spirit or his dedication to those he loved. Through every challenge, he continued to show up with strength, humor, and warmth—lighting up rooms and bringing laughter to those around him.

He will be remembered for his deep devotion to family, his quick wit, and his strong work ethic. His passing leaves an immeasurable void that will be felt every day by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

A funeral service will be held at St. Jerome’s in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place at the same location beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics.
