Theresa Kelley

On May 22, 2025, our beloved Theresa Kelley, born December 25, 1984, passed away at the age of 40 in Milwaukee, surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa was born in Busan, South Korea and grew up in Oconomowoc, where she graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 2003. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and spent her remaining adult life in Milwaukee in the restaurant industry. Theresa loved and excelled at cooking, especially making meals for family and friends.

She is survived by her parents Anne and John Kelley, her brothers Patrick (Jaime) Kelley and Ryan (Jolene) Kelley, niece Edie Kelley, nephew Miles Kelley, and her life long friend and partner, Chris Short.

Theresa had a way of lighting up a room with her infectious laugh and her bright smile. She was a joy to be around. Theresa’s life was a testament to the power of joy and humor, family and companionship. Theresa left us far too soon, but we have many wonderful memories of her that will continue forever. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Theresa, may you be at peace in God’s hands. Until we meet again. We love you.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) in Theresa’s name are welcome.

A private ceremony to honor Theresa's life will be held for the family at a later date.
