Terry Ellsworth Johnson, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on April 17, 1943, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Terry lived a fulfilling life, rooted in the heart of Wisconsin and surrounded by those he cherished most.

A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Terry pursued a successful career in sales, cultivating connections with everyone he met. He was a passionate supporter of the Wisconsin Badgers, as a season ticket holder, he regularly attended games and relished the thrill of tailgating with friends and family. His love for sports extended beyond football, as he enjoyed golf, basketball, baseball, and anything that allowed him to spend time outdoors, whether it was boating, walking, or biking.

Terry’s vibrant spirit, deep passion for life, and dedication to his family will leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who knew him. His love for big band music and the outdoors enriched his life and the lives of those around him.

Terry is survived by his daughters Jenifer Growe, Heather Johnson; Grandchildren Tyler Edwards, Maggie Edwards, Alex Edwards, and Kobi Tucker; Great Grandchildren Layla Campbell, Charlotte Campbell, Amelia Campbell; Brother Steve (Patty) Johnson; Niece Sarah (Brett) Kiesel; Nephew Cody (Sarah) Johnson; and longtime partner Judy Kelly.

Terry is preceded in death by wife Carol; parents Larry and Joyce

The Johnson family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the doctors and nurses from ProHealth and AngelsGrace during Terry’s final days.

A celebration of Terry’s life will take place on September 19, 2026, at the Lake Country DockHounds (1011 Blue Ribbon Circle N., Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 11:00am to 3:00pm. To honor our dad, we will be having a tailgate for the Wisconsin Badger ‘s game, the family encourages you to wear red and white.
