Shirley Jean Timmer, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love and the legacy of a life beautifully lived.
Shirley was known for her kind and loving heart. She had a natural gift for making others feel welcome, always greeting people with open arms-never a stranger for long. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and hospitality, often filled with the smell of her baking and the comfort of her generous spirit.
She enjoyed the simple joys of life: hosting family and friends, playing cards, and cheering on her loved ones at sporting events. You could always find Shirley watching the Brewers, Badgers, or Packers. Shirley’s presence was steady and caring, and she remained deeply involved in the lives of her family, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Timmer and Terri (Tom) Reed; her grandchildren, Megan (Jon) Lyon, Laura (Tyler) Welch, Rachel (Tim) Stoeck, Amanda Reed, and Amber (Justin) Vollmer; and 13 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Timmer; her son, Jay Timmer; her daughter-in-law, Judy Timmer; her parents, Dora and Raymond Smith; and her brother, Douglas Smith. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sister-in-law, as well as extended family members.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of All Saints Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will continue through all who knew and loved her.
