Ruth Annette Stuckert. age 96, passed away on January 31, 2026, at Shorehaven in Oconomowoc, WI. Funeral services will be held at Shorehaven Chapel at 12:00 PM on February 20th, 2026. Burial will follow the service at Summit Cemetery in Oconomowoc.
Ruth was born on June 12, 1929. Her parents were Carl and Harriet Marquardt. She graduated from Oconomowoc High School. In 1951 Ruth was united in marriage to Glenn Stuckert. They farmed on Glenn's family farm in Oconomowoc until 1993 when they moved to Marshfield, WI to retire. Ruth and Glenn loved traveling to visit their children and enjoyed their yearly UW theater trips to New York. Ruth's life was her family, her church and music. She started singing in the Methodist church choir in Oconomowoc when she was 12 years old. She continued singing in the choir at the Wesley United Methodist church choir in Marshfield until she was 90. She also sang in community choirs and for 20 years had a weekly sing a long for the residents of Marquardt Manor, an assisted living facility near Oconomowoc. She liked to quilt, sew, and do other crafts. She enjoyed knitting mittens for the holiday mitten trees. She also enjoyed gardening and being outside.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca, James (Carole) and William. She is also survived by her grandchildren Danielle (great granddaughter Lacey), Katherine (Charlie), Edward (Heather), Stephen(great grandsons Matthew, Michael, William), Theresa (Matthew) and Danielle (Forrest)( great granddaughter, Harper, great grandson, Forrest IV).
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Glenn, by her son Mark, by her parents, and by her brother Donald and sister Rosemary.
Memorials may be designated to Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield, Wi or to the charity of the donor's choice.
