Roxane Wegner

Roxane Wegner, nee Watterson, age 69, passed away at home after a lengthy illness on Friday, July 10, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI. with funeral service immediately to follow. Burial will be at 12:00 PM at St. Jerome Cemetery, Oconomowoc.

Roxane was born June 6, 1957, in Oconomowoc, WI. The 4th of 5 children born to Edmund Francis and Virginia Mathilda (Diedrich) Watterson. As a child, Roxane was baptized and confirmed at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, Oconomowoc. She attended Park Lawn Elementary School and then attended Oconomowoc High School. Like her sisters she, already in high school, worked as a short order cook and waitress at Art’s Restaurant, Oconomowoc. She married Ronald Hilbert Wegner on November 4, 1978, at Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc, WI. For the first couple of years Roxane and Ron lived in Oconomowoc, but in the fall of 1980 moved to Sun Prairie, WI. because of Ron’s change of employment. Sun Prairie has been their home ever since. During this time, Roxane worked part time as a waitress and hostess at Sir Hobo’s Restaurant in Sun Prairie. The Lord blessed their marriage with two amazing sons, Jeff and Tim. At just two years apart, she always had her hands full raising two energetic boys. Her love for her family was always number one priority.

Roxane was a very generous and giving person. She loved making others happy with gifts and presents. She also loved all the holidays, but Christmas was her favorite. Her infectious Christmas spirit was evident in her home decorations. With more lights than anyone can count, she loved having her decorations in every corner of their home with the most amazing Christmas tree year after year.

Roxane was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Sherry McCamley, and brothers Gary and Kevin. Surviving is her loving husband, Ron and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Wegner and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Wegner, her sister Karren (Gary), Richmond, sister-in-law, Caryl Watterson, brother-in-law, Roger McCamley, and many nieces and nephews, who remember her as a very kind and loving aunt. Roxane is also survived by an aunt and uncle, and many cousins and friends.
