Rodger W. Maerder

Rodger W. Maerder, 75 of Oconomowoc, found peace on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Rodger is survived by his wife Sharon, children; Doug (Lori) Maerder, Joel (Susan) Maerder, Kerri (Jeff) Kaphengst and Mikey Maerder. Loving grandpa to Ashley Maerder, Erin Lesniewski, Max Maerder, Michael Maerder and Jacob Maerder. Also survived by his brother Jim Maerder, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Emmanuel and Dorothy Maerder. Rodger worked as a printer with the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel and was the ITU/CWA union chairman for over 20 years. He successfully owned and operated Mapleway Bowl in Oconomowoc for 34 years. Rodger was an avid Brewers, Packers and NASCAR fan who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service for Rodger will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Monday, August 18 at 7:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:30 PM until 6:45 PM.
