Robert Clarence Wittnebel

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert Clarence Wittnebel, who departed this life on August 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on December 6, 1942, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Robert was known for his gentle spirit and kind heart. He lived in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for several years then moved to Watertown, Wisconsin, where he contributed to the community through various roles in the nonprofit sector, notably with Opportunities, Inc.

Although Robert's formal education concluded after the eighth grade, his love for learning and exploration was evident in his frequent visits to the library. He found joy in the atmosphere and opportunities the library provided for connection and discovery.

Robert is survived by his brother Richard and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bernice Wittnebel, as well as his brothers Palmer, Oliver, and Roger, and his sister Shirley.

The family wishes to honor Robert's memory privately, and there will be no formal funeral services.
