or Baird, Richard John (Dick) passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born July 5, 1950 in Milwaukee, the son of William and Lilyanne (Lenz) Baird. Beloved husband of Christine (nee DuPont) for 52 years. Loving father of Daniel of Roseville, MN, Ryan (Shu Wei) of Charlotte, NC, and Marcus of Roseville, MN.
Dear brother of William (Terry) Baird of Venice, FL, Timothy (Alberta) Baird of New Berlin, WI, Thomas (Deborah) Baird of Locust Grove, VA, Robert (Laura) Baird of Waukesha, WI, Paul (Judy) Baird of Green Bay, WI, and Janet (Doug) Kummeth of Hubertus, WI. Dear brother-in-law of Earl DuPont of Hartford, WI, Gerald (Patty) DuPont of Pensacola, FL, and Randal (Lisa) DuPont of Hartford, WI. Survived also by cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Jean DuPont, and other loving relatives.
Dick graduated from UW-Madison with a Chemical Engineering degree. He worked at Pillsbury, General Mills, and retired as a Plant Manager at LD Foods in Jefferson.
Richard was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, often serving at daily mass. He volunteered with his wife Chris at St. Vincent de Paul (book department) since his retirement and was a member of Lebanon Sportsman's Club.
He was an avid golfer and member of Paganica Golf Course. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Dick was a patient, loving person, always caring for others before himself. He was a man of great faith and a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 29th, from 9-11 AM, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 1001 S. Silver Lake St, Oconomowoc. Mass at 11 AM, following the visitation. To watch the Livestream of Richard's Mass please click here. Interment on Monday, December 1st, at 10:15 AM at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford. The Pagenkopf Funeral Home is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent de Paul, St. Jerome's School Endowment Fund, or Oconomowoc Golf Charities would be appreciated.
The Baird family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our generous and supportive family and friends, and give thanks for Richard's life, which we celebrate even during this difficult time.
