Paul Richard Rajkovic

Paul Richard Rajkovic passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on the evening of July 19, 2026. Never alone, with his family at his side, his room was filled with the voices, laughter, tears and love of his teenage sweetheart, soul mate and wife of nearly 45 years, Lynn, and their cherished children.

Paul was born on September 8, 1957, in Linz, Austria, to parents Otto and Leopodine Rajkovic. He was preceded in death by his parents, big brother Otto Rajkovic and identical twin brother Reine Rajkovic. Survived by his wife Lynn Rajkovic; his children, Ashley (Brett) Klug, Jamie (Kirk) Hansen, Abby Hauke, Jesse Rajkovic; treasured seven grandchildren; his big brother Peter Wahl, little sister Maria Kerrigan; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.

Paul was a homebody. His beloved home in the country on Willow Glen Rd was his happy place. There he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life…tending the garden, hunting behind the house, playing his guitar, watching TV (westerns, hallmark movies, Judge Mathis) listening to country music, cooking and grilling, taking the four-wheeler through the back woods, dancing with Lynn in the kitchen and watching the deer come into the yard to feed.

It was there that the family enjoyed too many celebrations, holidays and family dinners to count, but one thing we could always count on was hearing him say, as we gathered around the table, “Man, I hate it when it tastes this good.” promptly followed by huge smiles and laughter from everyone.

Paul was also a creature of habit. If he were here today, he’d probably be…finishing his morning coffee and danish, changing into his favorite blue jeans and a white T-shirt, planning his day of working in the garage, working in the yard, running to the gas station or deciding what to cook for dinner.

Paul had a few careers throughout his life, but he was especially proud of his years as a Journeyman Union Mechanical Insulator with Triple I (Insulation Industries Incorporated). He was blessed to start living the retired life at age 58 and over the last ten years got to see many dreams realized. He finally got the boat of his dreams and the garage he had always wanted. He loved working out there, organizing it, and filling it with new shiny toys. He recently laughed while talking about another new fishing pole he just ordered and admitted that mom should probably start hiding the Cabela’s catalog.

Paul had an incredible will to live. He remained strong and positive these last few months, always focused on getting through treatment and carrying on with the life he loved. He was brave and strong for us all until the very end. We will honor him now by being strong and brave for each other and taking care of mom. Our hearts are hurting terribly, but we rejoice in knowing that he is at peace, reunited with the Father. “It is well, it is well, with our souls…”

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home located at 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place from 1:00pm-3:00pm, followed by a service. Food and fellowship following the service.
