It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul “Cubby” Martin Kuzba, who departed this life on July 8, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on August 16, 1963, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Irvin and Olive Kuzba.
Paul was a proud graduate of Kettle Moraine High School and went on to work as a Meat Department Manager. Apart from work, Cubby loved playing in softball, pool and dart leagues. He was also an avid golfer. More than anything, he had a deep love for Wisconsin’s North Woods, where he loved to vacation with family and friends.
Paul filled the hearts of those around him with joy and laughter. He lived his life to the fullest and was known for his infectious smile and quick wit, and a notorious T-shirt collection that would bring a smile to those around him.
Above all, Paul was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara; children Abigail and Caden; siblings Bonnie (Chuck), Lynn, Susan Peters, Cass (Donna), Michael (Elischa) and Kurt; mother-in-law Patricia Brown; brothers-in-law Douglas (Kathy) Brown, Brian (Amy) Brown and Dennis (Kristen) Brown; sister-in-law Deborah (Cory) Schultz; brother-in-law Kevin Hildebrandt; fur babies Maggie and Tess; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents; sister Joyce Hildebrandt; brothers-in-law Bradley Brown and Russ Peters; and father-in-law Dwight Brown.
In recognition of the exceptional care he received over the years, the family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at UW Health University Station Ophthalmology clinic. Your dedication made a difference in Paul’s life, and your compassion will not be forgotten. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff at Aurora Summit for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family are appreciated as they navigate this difficult time.
The celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) on Sunday, July 27, 2025 with a visitation 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Christian service honoring his memory.
