Patricia Eleanor Jensen, 89, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, surrounded by loved ones. “Pat” was born in Urbana, IL, on October 10, 1936, to Gibbon Francis Butler and Geneva Ruth Butler.
She is survived by her four children, Karl (Linda), Kristin (Rob Kimmel), Eric, and Therese (Christopher) Jordan; seven grandchildren, Caroline, Kathleen, Matthew, Stefan, Sarah, Gibbon, and Benjamin; four great-grandchildren, Ellowyn, Elliotte, Daniel, and Keegan.
Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Harold L. Jensen, her cherished parents, and her dearest mother-in-law, Sophie Jensen.
Pat treasured the moments she spent with her family, creating memories filled with love and laughter. She made every holiday a joyous event and each family vacation an adventure. Pat also brightened the family home with her beautiful gardening, her many arts-and-crafts skills, and her delicious cooking and baking.
She and her husband Harold were committed to the Champaign-Urbana community. They supported and volunteered for many organizations, including the Urbana Park District, the Urbana Free Library, the courthouse Clock Tower Renovation Project, the Crisis Nursery, and PACA. Pat was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, serving as a deacon and frequent volunteer. She also loved her alma mater, the University of Illinois, staying involved with the U of I chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Pat’s surviving family members want to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her friends and the personnel at Windsor of Savoy (IL), Shorehaven (Oconomowoc, WI), Stoughton Hospital (WI), and Brighton Hospice (WI).
Charitable contributions in her honor can be made to the Urbana Park District, Urbana Free Library, or a charity of one’s choosing in Pat’s name.
A Celebration of Life in Pat’s memory will be held in Urbana later this fall.
