Nancy was a fierce perfectionist, always striving to create a home that reflected her meticulous standards. Her eye for detail was evident not only in her surroundings but also in her work. She served admirably as a secretary for the former governor of Illinois, Adlai Stevenson, and as a Ticker Taker in the horse racing industry at Oaklawn Race Track in Arkansas.
Nancy was a devoted caregiver, having lovingly supported her two husbands throughout their challenges until their passing. Her nurturing spirit extended to all creatures, as she was a passionate cat lover and cherished all animals. She also has a love for travel, which took her to many beautiful destinations, enriching her life with unforgettable memories and experiences. She was an avid auto racing enthusiast. Each year, she eagerly anticipated attending the Indy 500 alongside her husband, Pete.
Nancy is survived by her twin sister, Carole (Ron) Funk; niece Amy (fiancé Tim) and her children Isabelle, Sophia and Anthony; nephew Anthony (Jenny) and their son Drake Littmann; as well as Paul (Angie) Funk and their children Quinn and Leo.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Kathleen, Casey, Krista, Jeannie, cook Kenya and Chef Mary. Also to the exceptional nurses Amy and Elizabeth from Allay Hospice, whose kindness and support provided tremendous comfort during this difficult time.
