Nancy Ann Couden

Nancy Ann Couden (Dragan), age 70, of Sullivan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born in Milwaukee on the Fourth of July to Ralph and Connie Dragan, and she always seemed pretty sure the fireworks were at least partly in her honor.

Nancy was the beloved wife of James Couden and the loving mother of Charles, Connie (Max), and Robert (Julie). She adored her three grandsons, Jimmy, Francis, and Vincent, who filled her heart with joy.

Nancy loved spending time at Golden Lake, where she could enjoy the people and moments that mattered most to her, and she will be remembered for her unforgettable laugh and feisty spirit.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, James; her children, Charles, Connie (Max), and Robert (Julie); her grandsons, Jimmy, Francis, and Vincent; and her siblings, Tom, Scott, Kelly, Gary, Pam, and Corrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Connie, and her brothers, Roger and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

A visitation to celebrate Nancy’s life will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) with a service to follow. Guests are invited to wear Nancy’s favorite color, red, in her honor.
