Martin Francis Dylla, Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully with both of his girls by his side on Sunday, February 8th, 2026. Marty was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 4th, 1957 to Martin and Rose Dylla.
Marty is survived by his two daughters Alexandra Dylla-Karpinski (Dylan Karpinski) and Melanie Dylla (Brett Verhein), his beloved dog Muttley and grand-doggies; Kenickie and Tater Tot.
Marty was preceded in death by his nephew (Jack Workman), brother (William Broadberry) and parents.
Marty was a man of large stature (6’7” to be exact) with a heart of gold just as big. He spent 40 years working as a nurse and was always the first person to lend a helping hand no matter who you were. Marty re-charged his batteries by spending time in the great outdoors of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula camping and fishing for musky with his closest family and friends. He loved his tie-dye shirts, he had an expansive and quite eclectic taste in music and he loved cooking for other people, especially a large crowd. Most importantly, for a man who once thought he never wanted children, he absolutely loved his two daughters with everything he had.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of their family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Our House Senior Living in Cambridge, WI and UW-Madison Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Let’s Go Fishing, JRs Pups and Stuff and Fishing for the Heart in Marty’s name are welcome.
