Kimberly Marie Punjak

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Marie Punjak, aged 53, on October 21, 2025. Born on September 28, 1972, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Kimberly touched the lives of many during her time on this earth and is remembered for her kind spirit and infectious zest for life.

Kimberly is survived by her loving parents, Mickie and Robert Punjak; her half-sister, Vickie Miller; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who now welcome her with open arms.

A devoted daughter with an adventurous heart, Kimberly cherished camping at White Pine Ranch in Oregon, Illinois with friends and her special "Dad weekends" in Bayfield County, where her love for the great outdoors thrived. Her enthusiasm for camping, riding horses, and exploring the shores of Florida will forever remain in the memories of those who knew her. Kimberly held a deep appreciation for animals, particularly dogs and horses, and found joy in the beauty of butterflies. A talented jewelry maker, and her mother’s computer expert, Kim enjoyed working with electronics and found ways to share her creativity and skills with others.

For 28 years, Kim was a valued member of the American Legion Post 196, contributing to the Auxiliary and the Sons of the Legion. Her dedication to these causes reflected her strong community ties and spirit of service. She also found solace and companionship in her trusted dog, Bo, who was a constant source of comfort throughout her life.

Kim’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Jefferson Memory Care and Vitas Healthcare for their unwavering support and care. They also wish to thank the American Legion Post 196, the Auxiliary, and the Sons of the Legion for being a pivotal part of Kimberly's life and legacy. 

A celebration of Kim’s life will take place on November 8, 2025, from 10:00am-11:30am at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N Silver Maple Ln, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) with a service to follow. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a luncheon at the American Legion Post 196 (333 N Lapham peak Rd. Delafield, WI 53018).
