Kim Michael Goelz

Kim Michael Goelz, 75, departed peacefully on January 13, 2026. Kim was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 3, 1950 to Herbert Goelz and Beverly O'Connell (nee: Wessell).

Kim is survived by his son Michael (Catherine); siblings Kevin (Sally) and Karen (Phil); and mother Beverly, along with other family, friends, and his cat Quail, who will all miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maren.

Kim enjoyed nature, taking care of the home he shared with his late wife, sports, and cats. Kim had a resume spanning from military service to realtor and bartender before going on to foster a multi-decade career at Rexnord and Ace Precision, ensuring quality in manufacturing. He lived with intention. He was generous and always eager to help others. It was common to find notes in his home with details of friends and family, such as "harmonica player" or "baker", a testament to his caring nature. He volunteered more than a decade as a Scout leader reaching the lives of his son, scouting peers, and even a handful of international scouts from Argentina to Uganda. Above all though, Kim was a deeply devoted husband.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Three Pillars Senior Living and ProHealth Hospice for the care and compassion given to Kim and his loved ones during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you give to a charity of your choice in his honor, tell those you love that you love them, and extend to someone a small act of kindness.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday April 25th, 2026, at his brother’s home near Oconomowoc so that he may be celebrated with the blooming of the early snowdrop flowers that he and his wife looked forward to seeing each year. Please contact his son Michael at michael.j.goelz@gmail.com for an invitation with address and time.
