Kelly Lu Koepsell

Kelly Koepsel, age 61, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends, leaving behind countless memories, stories, and enough sarcasm to last several lifetimes.

Kelly lived life on her own terms—with a stubborn attitude, generous heart and quick wit. She found joy in helping others, supporting local charities and fundraisers, collecting donations for those in need, and giving her time wherever she could make a difference. She especially enjoyed riding her motorcycle and creating unforgettable memories with the people she loved. One of Kelly's greatest joys was finally fulfilling a longtime dream of meeting penguins in person, an experience that brought her immense happiness. Those who knew Kelly will remember her for her fierce loyalty and her compassionate spirit.

Kelly's absence leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who loved her.

In true Kelly fashion, she would want everyone to know that while she's no longer here to keep everyone in line, she fully expects you to carry on, take care of one another, and not make poor decisions—or at least not get caught making them. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Kelly is preceded in death by her father Robert Koepsell and cousin Allison Knoll

A celebration of Kelly's life will be held July 18th from 12-8pm in the Upper Pavilion at Riverside Park, Watertown WI, where laughter, stories, and perhaps a few sarcastic remarks in her honor will be highly encouraged.
