Kathleen "Kathy" Kroer O'Brien

Kathleen "Kathy" Kroer O'Brien, 68, passed away on September 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 25, 1958, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Kathy dedicated 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Throughout her nursing career, she worked at Three Pillars in Dousman and retired from Bethesda in Watertown.

Kathy had a love for lighthouses and enjoyed traveling to visit as many as she could. Music was another passion of hers, especially playing her guitar and singing. She also enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching, sharing her creativity through the things she made.

Following her retirement, Kathy moved to Stephenson, Michigan, before eventually returning to Waterford, Wisconsin, to be closer to family and friends and to watch her grandchildren grow.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon O'Brien and Rita Brouillett.

She is survived by her brother, Michael (Karen) O'Brien; her three sons, Matt Kroer, Aaron (Lisa) Kroer, and Christopher Kroer; her grandchildren, Michael Kroer, Elijah Kroer, Sylas Diaz, and Skylar Kroer; her goddaughter, Anne Hendrick; and many dear friends.

Kathy spent her final days surrounded by family and those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
