Julie Marie Bechtel

Born: November 24th, 1958 ~ Born to Eternal Life: September 22nd, 2026 

Julie Marie Bechtel (née Rehn) was taken to her eternal home on September 22nd where she was greeted by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and by her loving parents Carroll and Donna Rehn.

Julie is survived by her loving husband Bradley (married since 1991) and her two daughters, Rachel Bechtel and Sarah (Nicholas) Geirland. She is also survived by her sisters and their husbands Gail (Dennis) Scheid and Michelle (Jay) Emmett, her in-laws Jerry Bechtel (mother-inlaw), Scott (Sue) Bechtel, and Mark (Beth) Bechtel and many nieces and nephews, as well as her closest and dearest friend Jessica Pierson (Miami, FL). Julie is preceded in death by her father-in-law Kirk and her brother-in-law Kris.

Julie grew up in Seymour and moved to Hartland in 1972, there she worked managing the deli and bakery at her parents’ grocery store, Rehn’s Red Owl, until 1993. Later, in 2003, Julie worked as the church secretary for 22 years until her retirement at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she and Brad have been members for 33 years. Her work at the church was one of the driving passions of her life.

Some of Julies favorite times were being home in the fall, enjoying the crisp autumn air, and anticipating the Christmas holiday season. She cherished baking Christmas cookies while being surrounded by her family and beloved dog Rylee. Going to Christmas Eve service was truly one of the highlights of her life.

Everyone who knew Julie knew that she was kind, patient, forgiving, and had a strong faith in her Savior and Lord. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is no longer in any pain and is enjoying an eternal life in heaven with her Lord and Savior.
