John Arthur Steinman

John “Jack” Steinman Jr. passed away peacefully Monday, April 7th at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Bette Steinman and his wife Phyllis Steinman.

He is survived by his sons Brian (Shannon) and Matt, daughter Tanya, grandchildren Reilly Steinman, Nick Lindemann, Rob Lindemann, Bill (Jessica) Lindemann, Jeff Shanks, Christina (Ty) Shanks, Xander Hite and Jacob Hite.

Jack lived most of his life in Oconomowoc, graduating high school from OHS. He then attended and graduated from the university of Wisconsin. After college he joined the air force, attaining the rank of Captain. Jack worked for Aurora Healthcare for over 30 years. He loved all local sports but held a special spot in his heart for sailing. He was an active member of LaBelle Yacht Club where he raced both on his home lake as well as lakes around the Midwest. He was commodore of both the LaBelle Yacht Club and the WYA (Wisconsin Yachting Association). Jack will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at the Oconomowoc Community Center from 3 - 6 PM on Sunday, August 3.
