Jeffrey Charles Opiela

Jeffrey Charles Opiela, age 73, passed away on November 15, 2025. Jeffrey was born in Milwaukee, Wi on January 24th, 1952 to Florian and Florence (Tokarski) Opiela.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Mary, siblings Allan (Maria) Opiela, Donna Zoltak, Maryann (Mike) Tellier, niece Leandra (Scott) Trzebiatowski, Amanda (John) Olivier, Alyssa Opiela, great nieces and other family, and many friends.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and Brother-in-law James Zoltak.

Jeffrey had a love of hunting, fishing, gardening, and working on their mini farm. He liked family gatherings and loved watching Packer's and Brewer's games and watching car races. He also loved his model trains that he set up in the basement. He was a great woodworker that always had a project going.

Jeffrey was a proud union carpenter for thirty-four years. After he retired, he worked at Ace Hardware in Delafield for another thirteen years, then retired to travel and enjoy life with Mary, friends and relatives. Jeffrey loved to work in his garden and on the property. He and Mary took many wonderful vacations to Jamaica, on riverboat trips, Arizona, Alabama, Florida and Texas.

Thank you to the staff at Aurora Summit for all of their help with Jeffrey's battle with cancer and other health issues.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice in Jeffrey's name would be welcome.

There will be a celebration of life on January 24th, 2026, which would have been Jeffrey's Birthday, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. Visitation will be starting at 10 AM, a Catholic Service at 11AM, and a luncheon to follow.
