It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Kathleen Schlundt, who went to be with the Lord on January 8th, 2026, at the age of 64.
Jean was born on January 1st, 1962, in Antigo, Wisconsin, to James and Gail Smith. She lived a life defined by selflessness, compassion, and unwavering faith. Jean had a special gift of putting everyone before herself. She loved others BIG and loved Jesus even bigger. We take comfort knowing she is now in paradise with our Lord and Savior.
Jean was the beloved spouse of Terrell Schlundt for 42 beautiful years, and a devoted mother to Brittany (Pete) Benzon, Brianne (Tim) Costigan, and Terrell Jr. (TJ) (Mandy) Schlundt. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mason Costigan, Jaxon Costigan, Ryleigh Schlundt, Ayla Schlundt, Caleb Schlundt, Caden Benzon, and Ember Benzon.
Being a grandmother was one of Jean’s greatest joys. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and the pride of her heart. She loved them incredibly, prayed over them constantly, and poured into them with unconditional love, warmth, and faith. Each one held a special place in her heart, and her love for them will forever be one of her greatest legacies.
Her faith in Christ was the foundation of her life. She trusted deeply in His promises and lived out her faith through her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. Jean was a living example of Christ’s love, always serving others with humility and grace.
She is survived by her father James Smith; her loving husband Terrell; her children Brittany (Pete), Brianne (Tim), and TJ (Mandy); her grandchildren Mason, Jaxon, Ryleigh, Ayla, Caleb, Caden, and Ember; her sister Vickie Wagner and her husband John; her brother Edward Smith and his wife Lee; her brother-in-law David Schlundt and his wife Jenny; along with many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed by her love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Gail Smith; Eugene and Evelyn Schlundt, parents of Terrell; and Russ Schlundt, brother of Terrell.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at St. Charles Parish in Hartland, Wisconsin (313 Circle Dr., Hartland, WI 53029)
