Jean Margaret Fisher

Jean Margaret Fisher passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving daughters and husband.

Jean was married to the love of her life, Roger, for 61 years. She is survived by Roger and her daughters: Julia (Jim) Rogers, Carol (Jim) Juneau, and Laura (Jason) Grubba, and grandchildren Joe, Jane, Ben, Matthew, Lila, and Vivian. She also leaves behind her brother Danny, niece, Jenny and nephew, Andy, and many friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Ruth Fibiger, and grandson, Jacob Juneau.

She was born in Kohler, Wisconsin. She was raised there until she attended school to be an x-ray technician, where she met Roger. They were married on October 31, 1964. They lived for a short time in Massachusetts before settling in Oconomowoc for over 50 years. She was an incredibly devoted member of her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran in Oconomowoc. For many years she volunteered with the Altar Guild, sang in the church choir, sewed church linens and helped with the Ladies Aid. She also was an avid gardener, baker and loved to cook. Many know of her famous apple pie and chocolate chip cookies. She also loved to ride her bike, spend time at the cottage during the summers, was an avid reader and could sew anything you asked her to.

Jean was an incredibly patient and devoted mother and grandmother, enjoying her girls and grandchildren in every possible moment, as they were her greatest joy. Her kind heart and generous spirit also touched so many friends and family members throughout the years. We hope they remember her as the joyous, faithful and caring woman that she was.

We will always remember her as the steady and calm heart of our family, very dedicated to her faith in Jesus Christ, and how she shaped all of us to be who we are today. We take comfort knowing that she is now perfect in the arms of our Lord & Savior in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. A date has not been chosen due to her husband, Roger, suffering a stroke the day after her passing. Please check www.pagenkopf.com for updated service information.
