Jean Karen Chambers, age 75, passed away on July 2, 2025. Born on July 31, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, Jean was the middle child of three daughters born to John and Edna Bentrup (nee Gilbert).

She attended Brehms Lane Elementary school, Herring Run Jr High School and graduated from Bel Air High School. She worked a number of jobs as a secretary and married and had two sons. Her career as a secretary gradually grew to becoming an Executive Assistant at Blue Cross and Blue Shield/Care First, where her expertise and organizational skills were instrumental in supporting the Chief Executive Officer.

She loved Christian clowning, which suited her perfectly. She also participated in the prison ministry program of Kairos.

A courageous survivor of cancer for seven years, Jean faced her journey with remarkable strength and positivity. She was an active participant at Life Point Church in Reisterstown,Maryland and found deep fulfillment in her faith community. Her boundless energy and infectious laughter made her the life of the party, connecting her with friends and neighbors who will remember her as a bright light in their lives.

Jean is survived by her son, John Curtis Webb; grandchildren Joslyn, Brianna and Jared Miller;sisters Kelly Gray (Gary) and Joan Russo (Lawrence Foat), nephew Jason Russo (Catherine). And she leaves behind her “adopted son” Scott Douglas and his loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Scott Chambers; son Brian Keith Webb; and her parents.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Pro Health HomeHospice of Wisconsin for their compassionate care and support during this time.
