Jane Margaret Easton (née Geiger) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on December 11, 1934, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Jane dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and service to others.
Jane was a loving wife to her husband of nearly 70 years, John Easton. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Amy (Scott) Bingenheimer and Mara (Heinz) Bourquin. Jane is further survived by her grandchildren Erica, Lucas, Megan, and Kathryn; sister Karen Clutterbuck; as well as 7 nieces and 2 nephews. Jane is preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Geiger and her sister Gloria Schroeder.
As a lifelong member of Dr. Martin Luther Church, her deep commitment to serving others was expressed through several roles: Sunday School teacher, Confirmation educator, and most importantly Quilting for LWR leader. Jane was active in the Oconomowoc community through such groups as the Sunflower Garden Club, Girl Scouts, and Red Hat Society. She also held roles with the Oconomowoc School District including Kindergarten Readiness Screener and Elementary/Middle School Health Aide. She lived her life to the fullest, embracing each moment with warmth and grace.
Visitation will be held at Dr Martin Luther Church (325 S Main St, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, until the time of funeral service at 12:00 PM.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of their family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at AngelsGrace and Dr Martin Luther Church who cared for Jane with compassion while providing comfort to her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to AngelsGrace Hospice and Dr Martin Lutheran Church Quilt Ministry in Jane's memory.
