James Douglas Fell

James (Jim) Douglas Fell, age 69, passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2026. Jim was born in Janesville, WI on October 8th, 1956, to David and Marie Fell.

Jim is survived by his wife Kim, children Cory Fell and Andy Matott; grandchildren Jack, Kali, Kaden, and Kane; along with his brother Steve Fell, sisters Nancy (Anderson) and Lisa (Boynton), and 3 nieces and nephews (Emily, Brian, and Robert).

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Jim showed a passion for a number of activities throughout his years. He was an avid golfer who loved playing with his friends and his son, Cory. He also enjoyed bowling, an activity which he shared with his wife, Kim, competing in a couple’s bowling league for over 20 years together. Jim was also a very skilled woodworker and craftsman. He took pride in continuing his family's tradition of making woodenware on his lathe, just as his Father and Grandfather had done before him. This was another activity he shared with his wife, which no doubt provided added inspiration to create some truly beautiful pieces. Throughout his marriage, Jim enjoyed traveling with his wife to the Caribbean and spending time at his family's cabin in Three Lakes, WI. He found a great deal of peace in sitting on the beach or sitting at a lakeside bar watching the boats go by with Kim.

Jim will forever be missed, but his spirit will live on in memories of his love and kindness.
