Hollye Guzenda

Hollye Jean Guzenda, (née Pries), age 81, passed away peacefully, on Thursday July 3rd, 2025.

Hollye ( Madre) the cherished family matriarch; is survived by her Son, Nicholas (Beth), three grandchildren and one great grandson, her cousins and her “Huge Hunting Family”.

Preceded in death, by her beloved husband Henry Guzenda and daughter Dawn Garcia, as well as her parents, Harry and Veronica Pries.

Hollye, was born on December 15th, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She grew up in the Oconomowoc area, graduating from Oconomowoc High School in 1962.

A blind date set up by her cousin, introduced her to her beloved late husband Henry of 45 yrs. They resided in the Delafield area until moving to Spooner, Wisconsin, in 1998.

Hollye found content spending time outside in her flower garden, watching the bird feeders and nature, or a quiet moment on the couch with a cuddly dog. The time spent with family and friends over “Old Fashions” and making smiles for lasting memories was always something she enjoyed. Her tenacious drive was inspiring to others as her quick wit, and glass half full attitude will be missed by so many.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to all at this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family feels a donation to your local Veteran Affairs office in her name is something Hollye would love.

A gathering to celebrate Hollye’s life is scheduled for Friday July 18th, 2025. Visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Service at 6:00 pm. Pagenkopf Funeral Home 2228 Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc 53066.
