Franklin Delano Schmocker, 90 of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully June 6, 2025.
He was born in Waukesha on September 30, 1934, to Arthur and Emily Schmocker. Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years: Carol L (Neumeister) whom he married on November 5, 1960; sons Daniel (Betty), David (Annette), & Steven (Heather); grandchildren Kyle (Leanne) Schmocker, Stacie (Tom) Roberts, Melanie (Kathryn) Schmocker, & Monica (Duane) Robbins; great grandchildren Hadley & Grayson Schmocker, Avery & Emilee Roberts, & Caelan Robbins; siblings Ellis (Karen) Schmocker, & Janet Perkins; brother-in-law Ronald Neumeister; and other relatives and friends. Preceding Frank in death were his parents, sister Joyce (Royal) Lurvey, brothers Arthur (Carol), Gilbert (Carol), & Philip (Eileen); sister-in-law Janet, brother-in-law Robert (Bud) Perkins, and niece Joan Lurvey.
Frank’s lifelong passion was farming. He also owned & operated a bulk milk trucking business to Hawthorn Mellody Dairy and drove charter bus for Transportation Services. In 1976 he purchased a farm near Ixonia, where he raised and milked dairy cattle until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed polka music and dancing, playing Sheepshead with his “Sullivan” friends, watching the Packers and Brewers, and watching and supporting his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Rainbow Hospice, for their care and compassion through this difficult time.
Visitation will be Friday June 13, 2025, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, at 9:30 AM followed by a service at 11:00.
Final resting place is Prairie Home Cemetery, in Waukesha.
