Eva Dorothy Grimm

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eva Dorothy Grimm, aged 93, who left this world peacefully on November 19, 2025. Born on January 13, 1932, in Sugar Island, Wisconsin, Eva lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to others.

Eva was a devoted nurse's aide at Rogers Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 25 years, providing comfort and care to countless individuals. Her unwavering commitment to helping others extended beyond her profession; she was an extraordinary caretaker for her grandson, Jason, who preceded her in death. A lover of nature, she found joy in her flowers and the birds that visited her yard, always surrounded by the beauty of her hanging flower arrangements. In her earlier years, she enjoyed crocheting, and her hands crafted both warmth and comfort in numerous forms.

Eva is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy Ehli, her son, Mark Grimm (partner Tammy), her sister Violet Christian, her brother Alfred (Jean) Schoenike. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Grimm; her grandson, Jason Ehli; her dear sister Delores Mueller, as well as her cherished parents, Gerhard and Sarah Schoenike.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to Lake Country Health Services and Northshore Hospice for their compassionate care during Eva's final days.

In lieu of flowers, Eva's family asks donations to be designated to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church or Lakeside Lutheran Scholarship fund.

A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (1650 Brown Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) with a visitation starting at 10am and a service to follow at 11am. Family asks you to join them after service for a light lunch.
