Elizabeth Lou Dow

Elizabeth (Betty) Lou Dow, age 78, entered into God’s eternal care, on March 20th, 2026. Betty was born in Oconomowoc, WI on November 21st, 1947 the loving daughter of Harry and Norma Waters (Labs).

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Terry, children Garrett, Stacy (Dana) and Amy (Jim); grandchildren Zach, Myles, Natalie, Norah, Michael and Kendra along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wally and Larry, sister Jan, and granddaughter Tori.

Betty worked as a school teacher, financial branch manager, and was the Village of Summit’s clerk treasurer. But Betty found true purpose in caring and helping others. She offered a listening ear, a helping hand, and a comforting presence to anyone in need- she embodied compassion in its truest form. She had a special gift for bringing joy to others through her creativity. Her handmade crafts whether for her family or the church community were more than beautiful creations- they were expressions of love. Each piece she made carried warmth, thoughtfulness, and the desire to brighten someone’s day.

She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for her kindness and joy she brought into the world.

In lieu of flowers; memorials to Hope Center Waukesha in Elizabeth’s name are very much appreciated.  https://hopecenterwi.org/donate-now/
