Elizabeth Ann Jahnke passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the age of 95. Betty was born on June 24, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the loving daughter of John and Stella Lasiewicz (nee Kuczynski).
Betty loved to travel and shared many adventures with friends, exploring new places and creating lasting memories. She also had a green thumb, taking great pleasure in her garden and filling her home with beautiful flowers.
She found her greatest joy in the moments shared with her family and friends. A resident of The Waterford at Hartford, she thrived in the community, playing bingo, painting pictures and forming deep connections and friendships that brought her endless happiness.
Betty is survived by her sons Dennis Jahnke and Richard (Janet) Jahnke; granddaughter Heather Jahnke and step grandchildren David (Kylee) Mulcahy and Kristy (Bill) Schmidt; step great-grandchildren Reagan, Benton, Mia, Grayson and Carly, along with nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Dale Jahnke, sister Esther and her parents.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Waterford at Hartford and Brighton Hospice for their compassionate and tender care. Your kindness has been a source of comfort for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Betty’s name are welcome.
A visitation to celebrate Betty’s life will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church (W359N8512 Brown St., Oconomowoc, WI 53066). A Mass of Christian Burial is to follow.
