It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eileen Mary Crosby, beloved wife, daughter, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on October 26, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eileen touched the lives of many with her vibrant personality, loving spirit, and remarkable resilience.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Crosby; Brothers David Emery, Steve Emery, and Michael Emery; Nieces Dawn Marie Emery and Andrea Emery Giannini (Whitney); Cousins Liz Curro Beachem (David), Brent Emery (Julie), Ben Emery (Deana), Mary Kay Kelly (Pat), Karen Rushby (Jon), and Christine Weidner; Caregiver Mary Haramis, her beloved cat Luna, as well as other friends.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents Ron and Catherine Emery, her aunt Jean Zavis, paternal grandparents Martin and Annette Sabell, and maternal grandparents Martha and Charles Emery.
Eileen was a creative spirit with a zest for life. She pursued excellence in her career as a marketing executive manager, gaining the respect and admiration of her peers. Throughout her life, Eileen maintained a profound appreciation for nature, often spending cherished moments at Green Lake in Wisconsin and enjoying the solace of being on the water, where she embraced her passion for scuba diving. It was during these diving lessons that she met her soulmate, Jeffrey Crosby, a bond that would flourish and endure.
Eileen was not only a dedicated professional but also a nurturing individual, caring for her beloved cat, Luna, and the cherished pets from her past. An avid reader and a lover of photography and modeling, she embraced her many interests with enthusiasm, sharing her creativity with those around her.
Eileen’s journey was not without challenges. A survivor of severe sepsis, she lived courageously as a quad amputee for three years, demonstrating an unwavering strength that inspired all who knew her. She faced every obstacle with grace and optimism, always encouraging others to appreciate the beauty in life’s moments.
Eileen’s family would like to extend their gratitude towards the staff of Aurora Summit Hospital for their excellent care of Eileen.
