Duane A. Roehl, age 80, of Sullivan passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2026. He was born to Ruth Harrison (Hassenfelt) and Arthur C. Roehl on October 14, 1946. He is survived by his son Butch (Amy) Roehl and his Grandsons, Nolan and Mason Roehl. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharron Wasemiller, as well as many other family and friends.
After Duane attended St. Matthews Lutheran School, he was drafted into the United States Army during Vietnam, where he served as a mechanic. After the Army he continued working on vehicles and eventually became General Manager of Accurate Transmission Service and oversaw all 5 locations. He finished his working career doing shipping and receiving and eventually retiring from Milwaukee Machine Works.
Duane was an avid outdoorsman and a lover of hunting, fishing, and camping. In his free time he took pride in being very involved at Fin’N’Feather Sportsman's Club, where he served in many roles over his 40+ years of membership.
He was wonderfully straightforward—you never had to guess where you stood with Duane, because he always told it like it was.
His greatest sense of pride came from watching his grandsons grow into amazing young men. He enjoyed sharing his love of fishing, hunting, and trap shooting with them.
We will celebrate his life the way he wanted with food and refreshments at Fin’N’Feather Sportsman’s Club on December 5th, 2026 from Noon to 5pm. [ N2765 Hardscrabble Rd, Palmyra, WI 53156 ]
