Dolores Katherine Schoemann

Dolores K. Schoemann passed peacefully at home at the age of 99. Born on January 31, 1926, in Chisholm, Minnesota, to Frank and Frances Kasun, Dolores lived a life led by determination and resilience. Many would know her as a perfect blend of tenacity and benevolence.

Dolores was successful in all business endeavors including cosmetics, antiques, estate sales, and appraisals. She began her career as a door-to-door cosmetic saleswoman with Vivian Woodard, where her passion for sales shown brightly. She quickly broadened her impact by opening her own office, guiding and mentoring numerous women to achieve their dreams as successful beauty consultants. Her achievements earned her recognition as a top saleswoman, a testament to her unwavering commitment.

Dolores then transitioned into a different career, becoming the owner of Lake Country Appraisals. Even at the age of 78, requests from courts to appraise households continued. Her commitment to excellence in her work left a lasting mark on everyone she encountered.

In Dolores’s spare time she enjoyed traveling, specifically to Las Vegas. Even bringing along some of her grandchildren on a couple of her adventures. She also loved watching ice skating, gymnastics and looked forward to cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. Along with sitting back and listening to John Gary and Frank Sinatra.

Dolores faced life's challenges with grace, always reminding us to look at the bigger picture. Her ability to share a joke, even in the toughest times, is a testament to her vibrant spirit, which will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

Dolores is survived by her children Kathy Shoeve, Linda Schoemann, Debra (Lee) Gatzke, and Janis Kallin. Grandchildren Logan Goral, Amanda Gabornitz, Douglas Kallin, Michael Kallin, Thomas Gatzke, Rebecca Gatzke, Sarah Gatzke, and Tonya Reidmaier. Along with 13 great grandchildren.

As Dolores always said “When I die, I had a damn good life, I have done everything I could do, and I have done everything I ever wanted to do”
