Diana Clementine Heffner, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at Angel's Grace in Oconomowoc. Diana lived her life with grace, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had a warm smile, a welcoming presence, and a gentle way of making her care known to all.

She was born in Milwaukee on August 12, 1942 to Clementine Miller and Otto Kosbar. She is survived by daughter Adrianna Nowak, brother Norman Laub, grandchildren Alaina Nowak, Jordan Nowak, Sara Heffner, and Will Heffner, in addition to many nieces, nephews, family, & friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Allen Heffner, and son Ryan Heffner.

Diana raised her family with Allen in Oconomowoc, where she touched the hearts of many, many children as a childcare teacher at Little Lambs Daycare. When she was not working, she vacationed regularly, visiting her favorite destination, the Dominican Republic, over 20 times. She also went on many bus trips to various gambling destinations, and usually returned to tell the family that she had won! That love of life carried through to numerous family cabin trips in the summer, spent swimming, tubing, kayaking, sitting around the campfire, and playing games of Pokeno.

Diana "Granny" loved to see her family and grandchildren as much as possible. She always said "come on over!" and was ready to spend quality time together. She regularly hosted sleepovers that included so many different adventures: popcorn movie nights, waffles in the morning, stories about herself as a little girl, playing dress up, walks around the lake, stopping to spend hours at the antique store, getting ice cream, letting the kids decorate her house for holidays, sewing lessons, playing in the woods, catching frogs, going out to dinner on Saturday nights with grandpa, and trips to the beach, to name a few. The grandchildren loved hiding rubber snakes in her bed and she would call to "scold" them after they had gone home.

A celebration of Diana's life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home with visitation starting at 2:00pm and a service to follow at 4:00pm. The family invites you to join in a luncheon immediately following the service.
