Deborah “Debbie” (Box) Brink age 74, passed away Saturday, October 24th, with her family by her side, after a short battle with cancer. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Mary Box, as well as her husband of 44 years, Charlie Brink.
Debbie is survived by her son, Michael (Joylynn) Brink, her grandchildren Tyler (Annica) Kobussen, and EmmaLee Brink, her great grandchildren, Kade and Noah Kobussen, and siblings Laurie (Chuck) Williams, Holly Kasten, Jeff Box, and Todd Box. She is further survived by many other family and friends, whose love and support has meant so much over the years.
Debbie was a cherished wife, mother, grand and great grand nan, as well as sister, daughter, friend, and member of our local community, having worked for two local orthodontists in Oconomowoc for nearly 50 years.
Debbie filled her world with music of all kinds and with unique and abstract art, always finding beauty where others might never think to look. She delighted in collecting treasures and hunting for a good bargain, held tightly to the traditions that bound our family together, and poured her heart into making memories with the people she loved. She loved exploring and traveling, and with her, even the simplest outing became an adventure. With Debbie, you could always count on a laugh, and probably a joke or prank or two, but most of all, you never had to wonder whether you were loved. Her love touched so many lives, and none more deeply than those of her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy and the light of her life. Her door was always open, whether for a wonderful meal, a good party, or a heartfelt chat at the kitchen table, and countless people found warmth and welcome there. Though our hearts ache with her absence, the memories of those times with her will remain with us forever, and her love will continue to live on in all of us.
A celebration of life will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home on November 14 from 12:30-2:30pm, with a service starting at 2:30pm.
