Dawn Elaine Schwartz

Dawn Elaine Schwartz, age 65, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025. Born on April 12, 1960, in Farmington, New Mexico, Dawn's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

She loved reading, working on puzzles, and spending quiet moments watching birds and wildlife outside her home. Dawn also enjoyed sewing and quilting, as well as boating and water skiing.

The Outer Banks held a special place in her heart, as she delighted in visiting the beach, basking in the sun, and observing the wild horses that roamed freely.

However, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Dawn is survived by her husband Michael; children Justin Michael Schwartz and Lindsey Danielle (Jim) Babcock; grandchildren David Michael Schwartz and Aubree Mae Babcock; brother Douglas Michael (Paula) Duke II; mother Ora Duke; nephew Douglas Michael Duke III; cousins Jennifer Duke and Doug Duke; father-in-law Floyd Schwartz; mother-in-law Carole Schwartz; sister-in-law Pam Mason; brother-in-law Dan Mason; nephew-in-law Nick Mason; niece-in-law Katie Mason; along with many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Douglas Michael Duke.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, the Aurora Summit medical staff, and Pagenkopf Funeral Home for their kindness and support during this difficult time. 

In celebration of Dawn's life, a visitation will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A service honoring her memory will follow. A banquet will be held after the service to continue the celebration of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society and Corolla Wild Horse Fund in Dawn's memory are welcome.
