David Henry Skrenes

David passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 at 3:45am at Towner Crest in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

David was born on October 15,1937 to Hank and Val Skrenes, in Madison Wisconsin.

David was married to Rosalee Berg Skrenes, in 1956. Together they shared 66 years of a life well lived.

David and Rosalee became members of the Baha’i Faith in 1964. This decision influenced them to strive consistently to impact the world around them positively. As an engineer with IBM for 35 years, David led the creation of numerous projects that continues to impact our ever‑changing world. While his work was important to him, his greatest passion was advancing the ideal of the oneness of humanity and raising his family to embody this principle.

This principle was the impetus for David and Rosalee to move their family to South Africa in 1981; an enormous endeavor, reflecting their deeply held values. For the next 22 years, they dedicated their lives to demonstrating this principle in the South African community. David also served as a member of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahai’s of South Africa, serving as the Treasurer for a number of years.

David was a solution-oriented master at analyzing complex questions, challenges, and difficulties. He was able to effortlessly deconstruct problems and turn them into resolvable action steps. He had the remarkable ability to see the end in the beginning, and used this skill throughout his life in all that he did.

Throughout the many twists and turns of life, he remained a joyful and radiant person. His smile could light up a room, and his love for all was evident and unwavering.

David is now reunited with the love of his life, Rosalee, in the Kingdom of God along with many other loved ones. He is survived by his 7 children, Denise Manda, Danna Nejatian, Bryan Skrenes, Cathy Missaghi, Larry Skrenes, Teresa Noor and Kami Ahmad, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren as well as his brothers and sisters, Roger Skrenes, Richard LaRonge, Steve LaRonge, Hank Skrenes, Cora Fuller, and Sue Skrenes.

The family will hold a graveside service on Thursday, Jan. 8th at 10:30am at The Gardens of StoneBank Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:30am at Towner Crest- Senior Living, 1205 E Lisbon Rd, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
