Connie (Constance) Anne Covaciu

With heavy hearts, the family of Connie (Covaciu) Gall announces her passing on March 4, 2026, in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, following a short, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Connie lived a rich 70 years filled with love, compassion, and many varied experiences. A devoted animal lover, she especially cherished dogs and horses. A 1973 graduate of Merrillville High School, Connie was a cheerleader and a member of the concert choir, where she often sang solo.

Above all, Connie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Don Gall; her sons Dan Garcia (Stephanie) and Nick Garcia; and her grandchildren Ben and Austin, of whom she was extraordinarily proud. Her family often referred to her grandchildren as “her hobby.” Her children and grandchildren were the center of her heart, and she delighted in their achievements, laughter, and time together.

Connie is also survived by her father, Robert Covaciu; siblings Becky (Terry), Craig (Jolie), Rob (Lorri), and Tom (Tracy); and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Marty Garcia; her mother Joyce Covaciu; her brother Rich Covaciu; and her sister-in-law Ann (St. Aubin) Covaciu.

A private Celebration of Life with immediate family will be held at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family.
