Claude was born on April 17, 1932, in Hilbert, Wisconsin to Peter and Verona Meier. He was one of six siblings. Growing up in a close-knit household where family, faith, and hard work were a way of life from an early age.
Claude proudly served his country during the Korean War as a cook in the United States military. It was during his service that he met the love of his life, Sylvia Cox. The two were married on April 24, 1954, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and family.
Claude and Sylvia made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Where they welcomed and raised their three children: Deborah, Linda and Peter. During those years Claude worked for Milwaukee County while also owning and managing multiple rental properties. His strong work ethic and determination were evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his children Deborah Meier, Linda (Gary) Harrison, and Peter (Cheryl) Meier. His grandchildren Samantha (Matthew) Winner, Shannon Meier, Meghan Meier, Travis (Kylie) Harrison, and Austin (Becca) Harrison. His beloved great-grandchildren Brooks Winner, Lucy Winner, Ledger Harrison and Victor Harrison.
Claude was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Meier.
A visitation to celebrate Claude’s life will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomwoc, WI 53066) from 11:00 am-1:00pm with a service to follow at 1pm.
