Byron David “Dave” Allen, 84, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Born on December 1, 1941, in Kirksville, Missouri, Dave lived a life characterized by dedication to family, service to his country, and professional achievement.

Dave was married to his loving wife, Jacqueline Shear Allen “Jacquie”, for 58 years. He is survived by his son, Rich Allen (Julie), and his cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Andrew, Kate, and Lucy Allen. Dave proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Captain before building a successful career as a business executive in marketing and advertising. His early career began with Benton & Bowles in New York City and culminated in a 35-year career with Whirlpool Corporation. He was admired for his intelligence, work ethic, leadership, and steady presence, both professionally and personally.

He was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity and a proud graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Dave carried a lifelong passion for golf and cherished the friendships and camaraderie built over more than 30 years as a member of Point O' Woods Golf & Country Club, as well as through memberships at Palmetto Golf Club and The Green Boundary Club. During his retirement in Aiken, he remained engaged in the community and the arts, serving as a founding board member and chairman in helping bring the Aiken Symphony Orchestra to the community in April 2015.

Dave was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacquie; his parents, Byron and Lucille Allen (née Hutchinson); and his brother-in-law, Clay Davenport.

He will be remembered for his faith in Our Lord, intellect, quiet strength, wit, charm, sense of humor, loyalty to those he loved, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
