Celebrating the Life of Arlene Lenore Geers

February 3, 1939 – May 7, 2026

Arlene Lenore Geers, age 87, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children at Angel’s Grace Hospice.

Born on February 3, 1939, Arlene was raised on a farm in Dousman as one of nine siblings. The lessons of the farm stayed with her forever; for decades, she delighted family and friends with stories of her childhood, her eyes lighting up with every memory of those early years.

Above all else, Arlene’s heart belonged to her family. She shared over 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Frank Geers, building a life defined by loyalty and a deep, enduring partnership.

Her greatest joy was found in the simple, daily pleasures spent with her children and grandchildren. Sparkling summer days on Upper Nemahbin and joyful birthdays punctuated by hand crafted cakes were the jewels in her crown.

Arlene was a woman of incredible work ethic. She enjoyed a successful career at Blue Cross Blue Shield, but her "retirement" was just another chapter of service. She spent 20 years as a familiar, friendly face at the local Pick-n-Save, where she loved staying connected to her neighbors and community.

She is survived by her children John Geers and Stephanie Harms and her Grandchildren: Bradley Geers, Bari Geers, and Greta Harms.

In keeping with Arlene’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral service. A private burial will be held with her immediate family.

For those wishing to honor Arlene’s memory, the family suggests that memorials be made to the organizations that provided her with community and comfort: The Bridge Church (Oconomowoc) and Angel’s Grace Hospice (Oconomowoc).
