Antoinette E. Kusch was peacefully taken up to join her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2025, at the age of 91. She is reunited with her cherished family: son Ricke, husband Jack, sister Eva, parents Tony and Katy, step-daughter Lori, Grandma and Grandpa Kolbus, and many, many friends.
Toni grew up on a small farm and learned hard work and perseverance. She excelled in school, was an extremely talented soprano and was offered a music scholarship. She set aside her career, choosing to be a stay-at-home mom. When her kids were older, she earned her Associate degree from UW-Waukesha and her realtor’s license (working for Robedeaux Realty). She then spent 13 years as a customer service representative for WI Natural Gas Company, loving to go to people’s homes, for energy audits, and helping them in any way she could.
Her love of music filled her life. She continued to sing and play guitar and piano. She often used those talents in church, singing many solos and directing choir.
She and Jack hosted large gatherings for friends and family, in their beautiful lake home in Wisconsin. She loved flowers and birds, truly appreciating their beauty every day. She was extremely active and social and enjoyed their retired winters in Florida, with many friends and activities.
Travel, theater, concerts, movies, golf, tennis, pickleball, bocce, shuffleboard, darts, cards, swimming, sailing, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, reading and painting were all part of Toni’s life, lived to the fullest.
Toni was a truly remarkable woman. Having a deep faith in God, compassion and warmth emanated from her. Those qualities combined with intelligence, wisdom, a sharp sense of humor, unending gratitude and optimism….making every day with her a true joy. She will be missed, sincerely and deeply, by everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in her family:
Children: Stephanie & Dan, Val & Richard, Kathy, Pat, Mike & Kathy
Grandchildren: Brianna & Matt, Dannie & John, Chloe & Oz, Giselle, Beau, Mary & Mike, Amie, Erin, Natalie & Jordan, Dani & Jawaun, Nici & Jack, Jaci & Alphonzo, Melissa & Hugh, Grace & Chris, Matthew
