Walter E. Bandomir Jr. 'Wally', 67 of Genesee, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Wally is survived by his loving wife Pat of 41 years. Father to David (Courtney) Bandomir, Shelley (Alan) Drisko and Dan (Mahalo) Bandomir. Cherished grandpa to Nathan, Jesse, Daniel, Cameron, Alex, Madeline, Allison and Quinn. Brother to Kathleen (Robert) Allen and Darlene (William) Andre. Also survived by other family, friends and shipmates. Wally is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Grace Bandomir. Wally proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Rich during the Vietnam War. He was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served as Post Commander for five years. Wally was also a member of the American Legion Post #405 in Dousman, Disabled American Vets and the Vietnam Veterans Association. He proudly supported all active and non-active military members along with their families. Wally worked at various jobs before finding his true calling with the Waukesha County Highway Department. He took great pride in maintaining his routes for the county. Wally also served for over 25 years with the Summit and Wales Fire Departments. Funeral services for Wally will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 4:00 until the time of the service, all to be held at the funeral home. Wally will be laid to rest at Summit Cemetery with full military honors on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:30 AM.
